Billboard Hot 100 (Issue Date: June 11, 2011)

Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" locks a 4th straight week at #1 at the Billboard Hot 100. The song also ascends #2-#1 on the Hot 100 Airplay Chart while still keeping the crown as the top selling song on the Digital sales chart. Adele in a chart force to reckon with. Her album "21" however slides to #3 (but still kept its 100K+ weekly sum streak) to give way to new albums from Brad Paisley at #2 and Lady GaGa's "Born This Way" which debuted atop the Billboard after selling a massive 1.1 million units on its firs week. Speaking of Lady GaGa, her 3rd single "The Edge of Glory" returns to top 10 at #8 after dropping #3-#19 last week and is definitely picking up the slack of the underperformer second single "Judas" which drops off the chart this week after just six weeks on the chart (it was #41 last week), what a short chart life for a Lady GaGa single.

Meanwhile, posing a thread to Adele's Hot 100 supremacy is Pitbull's "Give Me Everything (Tonight)" featuring Ne-Yo, Nayer and Afrojack which rised #3-#2 this week. The song is currently the #1 song in the UK and if it successfully reaches the top of the Hot 100 chart too, it would only be the second song to top both UK and US singles charts this year. The first and only song to do it so far this year is "Grenade" by Bruno Mars.

American Idol 10 winner Scotty McCreery barely misses the top 10 as his coronation single "I Love You This Big" debuts at #11. This is a big improvement from last year where Season 9 champ Lee Dewyze only manage to debut at #24 with his coronation single "Beautiful Day". Scotty also matched the peak position of Season 8 champ Kris Allen's coronation single "No Boundaries" which also debuted and entered the Hot 100 at #11. Season 7 winner David Cook is the last winner to crack the top 10 for its coronation single as 'The Time of My Life" debuted and peaked at #3.

On the other hand, Scotty's runner up Lauren Alaina enters the chart at #20 with her would-have-been-a-coronation-single-if-she-won song "Like My Mother Does" . Last year's runner up Crystal Bowersox only managed at #57 peak for her Idol single "Up To The Mountain" and Season 8 runner up Adam Lambert's version of "No Boundaries' settled for #50.

Two original Glee tracks which was featured on the second season finale charted this week, 'Light Up The World" arrives at #33 while "Pretending" enters the chart at #40. This is a far cry from their first two original songs "Loser Like Me" and "Get It Right" which debuted at #6 and #16, respectively.

Beyonce's "Run The World (Girls)" jumps #50-#29 this week to earn a new peak. The song definitely got a sales boost because of Beyonce's showstopping performance of the song at the Billboard Music Awards however for a Beyonce first single the song is definitely not performing with expectations and the song is already dropping in sales anLinkd airplay so #29 could finally be the song's final peak.

Bruno Mars' "Just The Way You Are" is still the longest chart sitter as the song spends its 45th week on the chart although it could drop out next week and go recurrent as the song drops to #48 this week. Two ranks lower is another long-running Bruno Mars single 'Grenade' (35 weeks on the chart) which slides #39-#50 to barely escape dropping out and going recurrent. If Just The Way You Are drops out next week, Mars will pass the longevity crown to Cee Lo Green's "F**k You (Forget You)" which logged its 40th week on the chart this week and it's still ranking high as it is at #21 this week.
