Impostor, TV Patrol bag International Emmy Nods

For the third straight year a Philippine telenovela was nominated at the International Emmy Awards as Precious Hearts Romances presents: Impostor from is one of the four nominees competing for the best Telenovela category. Two years ago ABS CBN's Kahit Isang Saglit and GMA's Magdusa Ka were nominated and last year ABS CBN's Dahil May Isang Ikaw was our representative. However, we don't have an acting nod this year unlike the past two years when Angel Locsin (Lobo) and Sid Lucero (Dahil May Isang Ikaw) got recognized. TV Patrol also received a nomination for their coverage of the Manila Hostage Taking tragedy last year but the award was already given and Brazil won. Impostor starred Maja Salvador, Sam Milby and Melai Cantiveros and it was based on a Precious Hearts Romances pocketbook about a simple girl who took the identity of someone else and the complications of living a false life. It was aired last year on the network's daytime block. Impostor will compete against telenovelas from Argentina, Brazil and Portugal.
